Dr Li Ping Chow is an Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon with a special interest in Macular & Retinal conditions. She has expertise in the treatment of many eye conditions, including Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, Vein Occlusions and inherited retinal diseases.
Dr Chow is able to offer treatment of retinal conditions with intravitreal anti-VEGF injections and laser photocoagulation. She performs cataract surgery and inserts stent devices for the treatment of glaucoma.
Dr Chow has Public Hospital appointments with the Medical Retinal and Ocular Diagnostics Clinics at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, and the Department of Ophthalmology at the Austin Hospital.
After completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Melbourne, Dr Chow undertook Ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. She subsequently travelled to Cambridge and Oxford in the United Kingdom for further Subspecialty training in the area of Macular and Retinal conditions.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists.
